The Tornado is the first non-Nerf weapon to come out in a very long time which is actually any good.
First, let me say this is an excellent toy overall. However, the toy suffers drastically if there is any wind at all. In fact the slightest wind can blow the rings randomly off course, swishing back and forth various directions. This will cause any combat outdoors to be an impossibility. The toy also comes with a barrel 'outer cover' which you must peel back to load the ammo, making the ammo difficult to load quickly. The ammo has a weighted end, and must be inserted properly for it to fire. The ammo flies at a slightly slower speed than the average ammo, thus making it easier to dodge.
Removal of the toys 'outer cover' improves the ease and speed of loading the weapon, and may in fact improve performance. Simply unscrew the toy and remove the 'outer cover' piece, and put it back together again.
In general an exclent toy, however I would recommend it only for indoor use. For outdoor, go with a more traditional ammo firing weapon.
