The Super Maxx(TM) 1000 toy is a decent weapon, but only if you are in for a very short war, or are playing at a distance. While this toy has great distance and very good accuracy it has many flaws which do not show in the numbers.
This toy suffers from as high, possibly higher, a jam ratio than the Nerf® chain toys. This has very small ammo which is not only easy to loose, but gets blown in the wind very easily, and because it is an air pressure (pump) gun the blast of air can cause misfires and jams.
While this weapon is cocking, in that you pump it up and it is ready to fire, it is by no means easy to ready. After each shot you must repump the weapon, using valuable time readying the weapon for a second shot.
This toy is also designed for big kids, using the weapon with both hands. Thus holding it one handed can be tiring, and as the trigger is not designed well, your finger may get tired of shooting before you. Oh and one last thing, any toy which comes with a troubleshooting chart on the back is way too complex.
While this has great range and very good accuracy I would highly recommend any of the better Nerf® toys over this. If you want something that pumps and is Semi-Automatic you might want to try the Mad Hornet(TM).
